A fabulous vintage Gucci handbag is for sale in this listing.

It is vintage and while the overall condition is really great, there is at least one spot where the “vintage” shows through. See photos; the leather outside exterior piping on the back of the purse has a spot where it has split into two pieces. Besides the normal wear and tear afforded a vintage handbag - very slight scuffs or other marks, the other main inconsistency is the GG metal plaque which is also the closure for the main part of the bag. While structurally the plaque is perfectly fine, the issue is that the gold finish has worn off. Now, having said that, it has worn off uniformly off of the entire piece and, as a result, doesn't look terrible. There is no evidence of this wearing thin, no paint flakes or anything like that. The gold finish is simply all worn off **the front** of the plaque. The sides are still gold so if this dissonance doesn't sit well with you, maybe take a look at the photos. You will see that what I am describing is really not anything too terrible.

The bag has a really cool/unique (aforementioned) metal logo plaque type closure which swings open on its side and captures the large dark brown flap which results in closure. Taking a look at the pictures provided is definitely an easier way to understand what I'm saying.

The bag used to have a long thin shoulder strap. This strap had become brittle and damaged over the years and so I removed it and converted the bag into a clutch.

I think the overall result is better than the tattered strap that was there.
